He gutted it out (Monday) night. He was hurting. He came in and we looked at it at halftime and taped it up. He said before we went out there that I'm going to give it a shot, but if I feel like I am hurting this team I am going to take myself out and I want you to know that. I told him I expect you to do that. Only you know where you are at with it.

He had an MRI and it showed nothing, so I think he'll be fine for Sunday. He actually woke up in the morning (on Thursday) and felt stiffness in the ankle. It might have had to do with practicing on a surface here he wasn't used to.

He has a very low center of gravity, ... He's a powerful guy. He can dip and get around a corner and that's something not a lot of people can do. It's one thing to get to an edge, but to be able to plant that foot and dip and get 'skinny' can separate people. ... He's built low to the ground and he uses that to his advantage.

He has stepped in and performed at a very high level,
He hasn't really had much work there.
He is a very cerebral player. He studies offense and has a good feel for the game. We give him a lot of freedom to kind of line up in a lot of different places.
He is a very valuable member of our team. Given the scenario, it's nice to have a player like that with the experience he has who can play at the level he can.
He is becoming a better inside runner, but he likes going to the corners. He's got speed that the other two don't have. He's got that dimension there where he can take a play that is very well blocked and can get you 35 or 40 yards.

He is making good decisions. He is gaining confidence, and we feed off him. I like the frame of mind he is in.
He is so solid for us. He's kind of a rock in the middle of that defense. He uses up two blockers. He has great balance. He's just a very steady, consistent player. He won't have a lot of sacks or tackles. But when you watch him on film, you can see how important he is to our defense.

He is very much wanted back here. So we will continue to talk to make sure that he is comfortable with what his role will be.
He managed the game well. We didn't throw the ball for a whole lot of yardage, but I like to think he will get better, too. That was his first live action [in a long time] … in a hostile environment.
He never took a day off, either. Those are two guys that are coming off major knee surgery a year ago and to get through a training camp and not miss practice says a lot.
He ran very well, and I see no reason to make a change right now.
He really didn't turn it or anything. It may have been just working on a different surface, I think, than what we usually work on back in Pittsburgh. I think that had a lot to do with it.
