(When) you have a year like I've been having, you just want to contribute. I don't think I'm there yet, but I'm working toward it.

He can do everything at top speed. You really appreciate it when you see it every day, the little things he does going so fast, ... Most of us wouldn't even attempt the stuff Mike does ... certainly not me.

He just gets us all going. When you see him out there and he's stirring things up, it gets you wanting to do the same thing. He's one of our leaders out there.

He stuck his neck out there and said something uncomfortable for him to say and definitely uncomfortable for people to hear. In the end, Mike spoke the truth. We had to deal with a lot of other issues along with worrying about the game.

He was easily my biggest influence — no one is even close. He was a Canadian guy who played at St. Mike's, and for Canada's national team and he played pro. He knows the game. He knew how to develop young players. When college scouts and pro scouts came into the picture, he knew what to do. I wouldn't have had a clue if it wasn't for him.

He's been unbelievable, truly unbelievable.

Hopefully, it's the beginning of a new era. You know, we aren't the only guys to ever put this jersey on. ... We've made a lot of steps, and hopefully the next generation will continue.

I believe in the guys here, but we've got to really work on the mental aspects of our game. If we want to do well in the playoffs, we're going to have to be better mentally.

I don't feel that it's a phasing out, they just feel like they feel these younger players are ready to take the next step. You can't tell me that a lot of our older players are out of gas, I don't buy it. But you can't tell me that our younger guys aren't ready to jump in there, either, because they are.

I don't think it's a surprise to anybody. They have some of the premier players in the league. They might be one of the smaller countries, but they're as good as anybody.
