| Basically when I went there, we toured the campus, I sat down and talked with Bob Stoops, Coach Wyatt let me sit in on a receivers meeting, then we went out to the field. Everything just clicked for me and I knew it was the right fit for me to be at Oklahoma, get my skills down and hopefully take the step to the next level. |
| I feel like I'm a guy that can step up and make big plays. I can go out there and try to make a big play to help out the team, which is what it's about for me. I'm not a cocky or arrogant guy. I just want to help my team. |
| In talking to Coach [Darrell] Wyatt, he has guys coming in who run 4.6, but he said he doesn't take guys just for their speed. He said he can look at a player and tell if he can be a player. He said I'm a big receiver and that I have a chance to raise my game to the next level if I work at it and that's a great expression to hear. |
| The Thursday before I came back to Fork Union [I committed]. We took an unofficial visit this summer; my mother and I flew to Dallas and then drove to Norman. They were my first scholarship offer. I talked to the receivers coach, Coach Wyatt, out there. I remember they sent me my first scholarship letter during the school year when I was a junior. |
