 Many set unrealistic goals that they can't stick with and do not change their lifestyle and diet.

 People end up staying when they don't do it on their own and feel like they are related to the community. We help them get connected in classes and we stay in touch with them. When someone doesn't show up for a couple of classes we can call and ask them if they are satisfied with our service. When you are not connected with a group, it is hard to stay active.

 People need to make sure that they ask questions, watch what they are doing and not go into it blindly. They just need to find something they enjoy doing. They can also get their spouse, a friend or family involved. It will help them stay connected with their goals and the community.

 To help our members stay active, we try to have them become community volunteers among the YMCA. It is bigger than just the do it yourself. We help them set attainable goals and we help them reach those goals by keeping them connected in different ways through personal trainers, clubs and classes that we offer, or through volunteer opportunities.

 We definitely have seen a bit of spike of enrollment this week and last week due to New Year's resolution. It is our most busy time right now.

 We not only track their progress and help them achieve their goal, we help them to feel connected to the community. The YMCA has an interest in the mind and body. We try to put together fun things that they can do and enjoy and help them reach attainable goals.

 We will always be there for them. They've been a good, loyal customer.
