I honestly though after we tied it back up that we were going to go out and win the game.

I think both teams are going to be out to prove who?s really the top dog. If I was to read into it a little bit I imagine they?re wondering how good we are.

I think it?s very important we were here. That?s how teams grow.

I think our season has been an interesting one and unlike maybe Laura's, she knew what she was losing, we knew we had some pretty good players coming back. We didn't come into the season expecting to be here. It's been a pretty fun ride.

I think Sam Faber showed today why to my money she's the best freshman maybe in the country. Certainly she's the best freshman in our league. She's got some of the best moves you will ever see. The kids tease her all the time. She waits until she's checked the goalie like 18 times and she's had the open net for about a half-hour before she finally shoots it in.

I?m thrilled for Nicole that she?s been honored this way - and she?s deserving. She?s had three great years here.

It's more than just chasing the big trophy and pride. Both teams will be out to prove who's really the top dog.

One of the things our team has been doing so well the past month is that we pin teams in and we control the puck in the offensive zone for such extended periods that sometimes you wear them out. You see a lot of teams do that BC did today, they finally break out and just dump it in because they're spent.

Our team was certainly on a mission, we seemed to get stronger as the game went on and one of the turning points was special teams. That has been the story for us this year, our kids responded and took advantage of the situation. that kind of dictated the game right there.

That was a big swing. Had they?d been able to chip one in, all of sudden their intensity level is going to go up.

To have Sadie and Martine come back and play the way they have has been tremendous. To come out so soon after missing a season and be one of the top players at their respective positions in the country says a lot of them.

We got a little cute. We started watching ourselves.

We knew they were quick and knew they'd present a problem for us. It was a game of ebb and flow. I told my players afterward that if you want to dethrone a champion in their own building, they go down hard.

We've positioned ourselves now in the driver's seat to win our league. I've always put a lot of importance on winning the regular season. I just think it's a great crown to win.

You heard (that criticism) a little bit early in the year. But a lot of teams have grown over the course of the year in spite of those temporary absences. If you really assess the numbers it?s not like there?s a massive amount of kids coming back.
