In our circumstances, we don't have a particular positional need. Consequently, we're going to take the best player who comes to us. If that's a big player, great; if that's a perimeter player, great.

We think we're two-deep at most every position.

I said before the draft that we have a pretty veteran and deep team. But I like the four we've chosen. Now it's a matter of getting them in here and seeing what they can do.

Delisha Milton-Jones is a heck of a defender, and so is Charlotte Smith-Taylor. They did a nice job on (the play), but we had a chance to win the game and that's what we wanted.

I thought the key was to play zone against them. They had trouble figuring out our zone, and we got the lead.

In the first half, we just got in too big of a hurry against the zone. In the second half, we did a much better job. We were patient, we moved the ball, we made some shots.

Tamika didn't force things tonight. She plays great games, even when she doesn't shoot. When she shoots, that's even a bonus.

The biggest play of the game is when Alana Beard throws it up in the air to herself and then makes a 3. That should never happen. How that's not seen — I have no idea how a play like that stands.

They were playing hard. They have some talent on that team. They haven't given up. They were very aggressive defensively. That got them back in the game. The good news is we found a way to win.

We had too many turnovers and we gave up too many rebounds. We got beat.

You're not going to do that to her too often. We played Tully (Bevilaqua) on her this time. She's a little stronger than Kelly Miller. And we played zone. She didn't get a ton of shots against the zone.

She has the ability to step her game up in big games. She did that last year in Seattle when Sue Bird went out. She showed how good she was. When Sue couldn't play with her broken nose, she came in and played extremely well.

It's great for the franchise. I'm enjoying the ride as the coach. I've got a group of players that have really bonded together and playing awfully well together. This team has very good chemistry and they show it on the court.
