Actually, we're not having one. The girls said they don't particularly care for pep rallies. We didn't have one in the beginning, so why should we start now? |
I'm heartbroken that they're going to close that ramp. It's a very nice lake, and it's a shame what's happening. |
It's just one of those things where we made some critical free throws at the end, and that's the key. You don't give up because you don't know what's fixing to happen, but (Pickering) came back down and got another chance and she sank them both. That's a big key, and it's the never-say-die attitude. They just worked hard at it and stayed with it and stayed after it. |
Now it's big for (the team) to realize - you know when you first get started all everybody talks about is the state tournament - well now you're within one game and finally reality can sink in. If we play hard we could do this. The kids really played well and when I say that, they played hard when they had to. We made some key plays, we made some key buckets. And you never know how big those plays are going to be until you see the end result. |
Our three seniors - I wish they had gone out on a little more positive note. They have been tremendous leaders for our team this year. They did a great job. |
This is something that they're going to treasure the rest of their lives because not everybody can get to state. This is something they can build on and work at and look at and say, 'Hey, we made it! We got there!' Now it's going to be our job to work and win. |
We do have some concerns. As debris flows downstream here, it's going to continue to back up and it will eventually get a lot higher. Hopefully, it will be cleaned before that happens. |
We have a very active conservation program. We've had speakers who talk to us about milfoil. We clean our rigs before and after putting them in. If we get caught (with milfoil fragments), it's a fine. |
We're very concerned. I don't think we're the problem. We want (the ramp and its availability for bass fishing) to be here for our kids and their kids. I'm heartbroken that they're going to close that ramp .... It's a very nice lake, and it's a shame what's happening. |
