For the underclassmen, it was basically a challenge: The coaching staff is going to do their job, which is recruiting. (The underclassmen) need to do their job and come back as better players. That was the message sent, and there was not much more to say. |
I thought ... we got beat by the better team. We didn't beat ourselves. |
It's a big weekend for us. It's not time to panic, but definitely we're starting to put our backs against the wall. We've got to come out of the weekend at least 1-1, I think. Not only just because of where our standings are in the conference, but for some confidence. |
Our defense did a tremendous job, but we gave up some key offensive rebounds down the stretch that hurt us. |
Then we're tentative on offense. We're not attacking as much. We're kind of standing looking for somebody else to do it. So when we got to that point, we just couldn't really get over that hump and break into their lead. |
They didn't miss any open shots. That was the difference. They made open shots; we didn't. |
We left it all on the floor, and that's what we are looking for. We proved we can play and get after it and that we are a lot better than we have been showing. Now it's time to keep it at that level and keep pushing it up. |
We stepped up our play. We haven't played with this type of fire in a while. If we had, we wouldn't be on this type of skid we have been on. |
We're so inconsistent. That's what's scary about us, I'm sure for anybody's who's playing us, but it's also scary for me because I don't know what team we're going to be tonight. |
