I don't think there's a better golf course we play all year, to tell you the truth, other than Augusta National, |
I felt I needed to get a little bit stronger, so I'm doing that. It really helps. I'm certainly longer. I'm seeing probably 5 to 12 yards difference for the most part. |
I felt I was playing good. My confidence was very high going in. |
I felt like I played good enough to win the Masters and I felt I played good golf today, |
I get noticed a lot more. You get the double takes, and it's cool. |
I got off to a great start today, which really helped calm everything down and put me up in front, where I didn't have to feel like I had to make birdies. |
I guess I matured finally. Took me 37 years, but I guess I got there. |
I have to give that to lack of knowledge of the golf course. For some reason, I think that right side that you can get to that far bunker out there. I'm not long enough to get to that bunker. I tried to take a little more off than I can chew. I thought it was going to fly into the bunker and it didn't even get close. |
I just wanted to let her know they have a big family out here and a lot of people thinking about her and praying for her. |
I knew he had the same exact putt as me because I watched it on the 13th tee. When I saw that, I knew we were going to win. It inspired me. |
I knew it couldn't miss. |
I know one thing for me is that I'm a really good iron player. |
I like my chances, because I know how competitive I am. I love match play. It's going to be hard to play somebody as competitive as me. There might be guys better than me, but as far as as never giving up and always fighting and clawing, I don't think too many guys have that. |
I love this tournament and this course, and it's usually a very good tune-up for me going into Augusta, but being the week it is, I want to make sure I'm rested. [And] I would lose Monday as a practice round. |
I need a birdie on [No.] 1 tomorrow and I'll be fine. Every bogey I made today, I made a birdie right after. |
