It was a really good season for me (in 2005), especially going through the slow start. That toughened me up mentally. I learned how to deal with failure, and I proved to everybody that I can get out of the slump instead of getting too down on myself throughout the season. I changed it around and started playing baseball and relaxing. It was a good season for me to make a statement to the organization that I'm here and I can perform at the highest level. |
It's awesome. Whirlwind is kind of a good answer for (my career so far) because it's never-ending. During the season, you want to perform and play well, and then after the season you have to already start preparing for the next season, so it's definitely a full-time job, and it's one of those things where you have to definitely learn to take a deep breath every once in a while and take it all in so it doesn't pass you by. |
