I healed up well. They say some people heal faster than expected sometimes. I spoke with the doctor in Philadelphia who did the surgery and he said, 'Do what you can.' He basically released me to go and practice and do what I can out on the field, as long as I'm pain-free. And it's been pain-free this whole week, and the latter part of last week. So, I'm just trying to heal up and get better every day, day in and day out. |
I'm just glad that I'm healthy right now with my hand. I can play the piano again, so I'm alright. |
If I'm the head coach and I'm down on the goal line, a thousand times out of a thousand I'd run the same play and give him the ball. |
It leaves you speechless. Everybody's face says it all. You can see the sweat with tears of joy coming out. It's the best feeling in all the world. |
It seems like I've been chasing Joey all of my career. We have a little competition with it. I'm not done yet. |
It was bend but don't break tonight. We made the plays when we had to and that's why we won. |
It's OK, it just bothered me the entire time, |
Joey Porter means a lot to our defense. He's a guy that fires everybody up. His presence out there adds fuel to our flames. Just him being out there elevates the whole level of our defense. That's something that's going to continue on. We expect it from him, and he expects it from himself. |
Not at all. It's Week 3. |
Oh yeah. He dominates people -- and he works unbelievably hard. He's a cool and calm guy, but on game days, we're afraid he'll rip our arms off when he's running through the tunnel onto the field. He gets mean. |
That's how he is. When he's out on the field, he becomes a madman. I figure that's when he knows it's time to turn it loose -- let out my hair, comb it out, let it be under my helmet, let me fly around like a maniac and get sacks and interceptions and whatever they call me to do. |
That's what it was. That's all I can really say. It is storybook for him. |
The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum. |
The last time we played them, they came down and beat us and went to the Super Bowl and became champs. I think that's going to be on a lot of people's minds. |
