Last year was probably my worst year in the big leagues.

Even when I was a free agent last year, my agent approached Milwaukee. Milwaukee was one of the first places on my list.

I've been taught to play the full nine innings. I play hard. I have the wounds to prove it.

Milwaukee has one of my favorite steakhouses. I don't know these guys at all, so I don't know what I bring yet. I've watched them play, and I've been impressed with the way they play the game.

It wasn't even heavy. I got out on the field and it started feeling weird. It was just one of those things.

This is a good group of young guys that's eager to play. When I was coming up with the (Minnesota) Twins, they called us a Triple-A team. But then we made the playoffs. That's the direction we're headed.

I've got some stuff I needed to take care of here. They said it was OK for me not to go. I'll get my at-bats here, minus a couple of travel days.

I didn't know that was an option but I'm glad we were able to work it out.

They said it's OK not for me to go over there. I'll be able to get my at-bats here without having to miss some days because of travel time.

It's pretty special to be part of the first one. I hope it works out.

I think I played two innings (at first) in the Arizona Fall League, back when (Geoff) Jenkins was on my team. That's it. It's harder than people think. You want to do a good job at it.

I accepted the Toronto offer because, for one thing, my dream was to play for Toronto, but also because I was told by J.P. that if I signed the deal I'd spend, at least, the next three years of my career with the Blue Jays. I listened to J.P. That's something I never should have done. I look back on it, I just should have taken the money.

It's just here until I find a place for it. It's not a donation.

Sometimes it's the way the game goes. It's nice to get that off and help our team win a big game in a big at-bat with a big situation.
