In the spring of 2005 during a night shocking survey, we collected 119 bass per hour averaging over 2.5 pounds each. That is a very good number, and the body condition of each was excellent. |
One was doing so well, so why not put in two? |
That means we had 14 bass over 18 inches every hour. |
The bluegill population is very good. We haven't collected any 'trophy' bluegill, but there are many in the 61/2- to 8-inch range. The best time to fish for them is in May during the spawn. |
We still don't know why. We assume it has something to do with heat fluctuations. |
