We are very excited about having Scott continue his career with the Riders. Scott has proven himself as one of the premier players in the league and we know he will only continue to get better.

The re-signing of Jason gives us the veteran receiver we need to make big plays. Jason has good hands and great speed. He is a threat every time the ball is snapped.

He is a versatile player who does a solid job for us on special teams. We are pleased to have Kennedy back.

Our fans have been waiting for a big splash, they have been waiting for the news. If today wasn't big enough, you need to get a bigger pool.

Kerry is a marquee quarterback and has the ability to lead on and off the field. We are confident that Kerry will pick up where he left off last season and will be comfortable with us.

It cost us a very good football player. But Kerry brings a different element that will complement what we have here. In Ottawa he did a lot on his own and with the talent we have here we think he'll be a great fit for us. He's only played the position for three years since college so I see a lot of [upside] in him and that was the thing for us.

You keep talking about Kerry Joseph, Kerry Joseph. I haven't mentioned him one time. We're going after guys who make us better. That doesn't necessarily have to be a quarterback. Like I've said, we can win with the guys we have. I feel confident and the rest of the team feels the same way, that we don't have to go after a name guy or somebody who makes noise or somebody we've been waiting on. That's not going to happen.

He is a very skilled player and we look forward to seeing him utilize those skills this season.

He's out (on the football field) like he's on a kamikaze mission. He's going down looking for somebody to hit.

A lot of people tried writing us off. They didn't throw enough dirt on us and now we're shaking it off.

Corey Holmes is just as good and equally effective. It's the situation. We'll line up and play football.

These next two games are really going to tell what the season's going to be for us. We need to make sure we line up Sunday and do what we really need to do, or we find ourselves letting the season slip through our hands.

It's going to be a challenge for them working against a very good receiving corps. They'll have their hands full, but at the same time we have total confidence in the guys we have on the roster to get the job done.

All these guys have really come back at the right time. We haven't changed our offence or done anything differently.

I can't even speculate right now and I don't even want to get into it because it's going to lead to a whole other conversation.
