Let's just be honest. Those kids are really darned good. If there's no age limit, they're (Nos.) 1 and 5 in the NBA draft the next time. We don't have that.

We let our emotions get the best of us, and that starts with me.

They were like sharks in bloody water out there, and we didn't have an answer. I feel bad for our whole group because we didn't compete tonight, but they put that on themselves. It is all about effort, and ours was awful. I felt like we were prepared coming in. We just didn't do anything well. It was terrible.

Cook is tremendous. He's going to be a tremendous prospect. He was unstoppable today.

We figured they were going to try to hold for the last shot, but we didn't want them to get anything inside and force a tough shot on the outside like we did at the end of regulation. Give them credit. They made a heck of a play. Our guys played their hearts out, and I couldn't be more proud of them. Dave was tremendous, but I think all our guys deserve credit tonight. It was a heck of a game, and I have nothing but respect for St. Edward.

Free-throw shooting is a lost art. It's not as good as it once was, and maybe it is because coaches are limited with how much time they can dedicate to free throws in practice and kids don't really work on them on their own as much as they should. Foul shots aren't flashy, but they certainly win games, and we try to stress that to our guys. Especially at tournament time.

Dave is our guy, but it is important to recognize the effort that Darryl and Mo gave tonight. Those two were tremendous and they shouldn't be overlooked.

The biggest thing which nobody sees is how far he has come as a young man. I remember talking to him as a freshman, and his attitude was a little rough. I don't think he even wanted to be here. But he has made huge strides as a person and a player, and I think that is my greatest sense of pride with Darryl.

He's a kid who has worked hard all year. He questioned at times why he wasn't playing enough, but he stuck with it. I told him that he was going to get his shot, and tonight he really answered the bell.

We knew the big kid was really strong. The guys we put on him did a nice job digging it out for us.

All of the guys were ready to play and so focused. Going in, we felt all of the guys had the ability to score.

There is no pressure on us. The kids are focused, and they are actually looking forward to this challenge. I like that. I mean, no question they know what we're in for and they know how good College Hill is. But we want to just go out and play, have some fun and give an effort.
