I'm not afraid to route this filly. If I had left her in New York after the Test to get acclimated to Belmont, she might have won, since she switched leads too early on that big turn, but hindsight is 20/20. Anyway, she's never trained as well as she has lately and we're really looking forward to this race. |
If she ran in the Distaff, she would have to run second just to break even. |
She's back at the top of her game. She's back on a decent racing surface and she couldn't be doing any better. |
She's really flourishing. She'll have to carry a lot of weight. It looks like a speed-laden race, but we're looking forward to it. |
She's really flourishing. She's a young horse and has passed hurdle after hurdle. This is going to be a big challenge, even though it will be her backyard. |
That track always had a speed bias but last fall they made it extremely deep and I don't recall it being that way before. A number of horses that shipped in from California and were odds-on favorites didn't run a jump. That worried me. |
To have thought that she would do what she has done, forget about it. |
We finally don't have to jump on an airplane and fly 3,000 miles. |
