Today was one of the most impressive hitting performances I've seen as a coach. Even in the innings we didn't score we had runners on base. |
We are fairly disappointed in today's effort. Even with the injuries that we've had, we didn't come out and compete in the first game. I told the team that we can't 'turn it off and turn it on.' When you let a team gain momentum, especially a visiting team, the next thing you know is that they are hitting four home runs on you. I feel that that is unacceptable for the caliber of team that we have. |
We are still fighting through some injuries to our pitchers. Fortunately our offense stepped up in a big way. |
We didn't play up to our potential in Hawaii. But, it was a good learning experience for our veteran team. Now they are more focused. |
We got runners on base without a problem. We just didn't have any timely hits. If we would have got a hit or two with runners in scoring position, it would have been a different game. |
We hadn't hit the ball like we could. We've done it three years with this group. (Thursday) was an awesome offensive performance. |
We played a lot of players that we usually don't play because of injuries in the second game, but I'm disappointed that we couldn't pull of the second win. |
We played great against Cal-State Fullerton. We got big hits in scoring situations. |
We seemed to put together all facets of the game today. Our pitchers did a nice job shutting down a very potent Southern Utah offense. |
We weren't prepared to play. We just didn't compete tonight. I was very disappointed. |
We've been on the road for the last seven weeks and were a little road weary. This team is very capable of putting up big offensive numbers. If we hit like we did tonight, I think we are unbeatable. |
When you give anybody a little bit of momentum, they're going to carry it through the game. I ran out of players and I ran out of lineup cards. |
