I don't see us getting weaned off of this. It seems to me that's way, way down the road.
I think the kind of dialogue the community wants is back-and-forth discussion. We can't do that here at business meetings.
There has to be a culture where students and parents know that if children come to school and act like that, they're going to be dealt with. I don't think we have that now.
There's a whole culture change involved here. It all hinges on contractual issues. It's all contingent on the unions and us resolving these issues and getting contracts.
We get volumes of data, pro and con. So often we get volumes for and volumes against, so we don't do anything. If we can't please 1,000 percent, we do nothing.
