I learned how to be a stronger person, because it is such a physical, emotional game. I feel like I'll carry the lessons I learned here with me for the rest of my life.

I thought we came out and played extremely hard. I don't think we back down one bit. We knew that if we back down one bite they would make their way back up.

It helps to have the huge crowd behind you and to represent your conference. We had more fans than we expected, and it was like a mini-Pit out there. They stayed loud the whole game and inspired us to keep going.

Nobody believed we could beat anyone big away from home, but we finally proved them wrong. I definitely think it was our biggest win ever.

They're all good players. We tried stopping them the way we thought would work, but they had other weapons.

They've always been tough to beat at home. You have to play well against them because they get into this rhythm running their offense and set a ton of screens. Once they get on a roll, they seem to have more energy on defense.

This is the toughest and most competitive I've ever seen the conference. All the teams are so much better this year.
|
We just worked together and really pushed ourselves to try to shut them down.

We really wanted to win this game. It was a big game at The Pit, in our home court. It was a huge deal for us to come out and play good defense and stop them from scoring.
|
We talk about coming out stronger, but we just have to go out there and do it. We have to come out tougher and mentally prepared. That's our usual style, but we can't play scared anymore.
|
We thought we were in, so it definitely was a relief to know we weren't going to have the toughest road possible because of the mistakes we made. I'm happy that we're playing so close to home and hopefully a lot of fans will make it to the game.

We're just not ready to go home yet. We have to come out with this same intensity Monday night.
