They've been pushing themselves pretty hard, |
This game spun out of control. Everyone lost control and its unacceptable. |
This is back-to-back weeks where our defense is going to have to stand up because the opponent chooses to hit you right in the mouth and run the football. So we're going to have to answer that challenge, and to do so, you're going to have to tackle. |
This is No. 2, not 100. That is what this is all about, getting the second win. |
This was a big game for him, ... To come back here and play the way he did, he managed the game and matter-of-factly played well. |

Those are just little detail things we've got to get worked out. |
Those are just young players trying to make plays. |
Today's game obviously showed you have to play four quarters. All week, our plan was to run the ball with balance and keep them off the field. Our plan worked in the first half. It did not work as well as we would have liked in the second half. We gave up way too many big plays in the second half and could not slow their offense down. |
Totally, totally unnecessary, the kind of thing we showed on the tape from a rules standpoint on player safety, ... Blatant intent to hurt one of our defensive linemen, yet somehow the official on the spot got it wrong and he penalized us. |
Travis is an experienced back, he knows our offense. He is paying attention. The health is a big concern. He is running and starting to change directions. He is doing much better. It is unlikely that we'll play him on Thursday night. |
Travis is extremely regretful for his actions, for his choices, for his decisions. It has affected him personally, his family and obviously has hurt this football team. We will in all likelihood make a move over the next couple of days to replace Travis on the roster. |
Troy is doing fine so far. He's looking for a fresh start with us. He's eager to do whatever we ask of him. Obviously, he started late. But our staff feels that he has a chance to pick things up and be productive. |
Two of those sacks were Albert's even though he didn't actually touch the quarterback. They were generated by his penetration, and his play against the run was exceptional. It started up there, |
Typically, if a coach is under contract and it's a lateral move, then the permission is denied. But if it's an opportunity to better himself and move from position coach to coordinator, then it's up to the club to decide whether that's really the move that they're describing. If it is, then I feel it's only appropriate to give those coaches an opportunity to help themselves. |
