We played very soft, a non-contact game. We had Wilcox jumping over us the whole game with no block out, drives with nobody putting a body in front, taking soft fouls and unnecessary fouls. I was just very disappointed. |
We put nothing into the game. Give them all the credit. I said this before the game, I never see them play anything but well. They come out and play hard every night. |
We put nothing into the game. It was not just effort. Shot making, handling the ball, discipline, quickness, we were inferior in all those areas tonight. When you put very little into the game, you get very little out of the game. |
We realize they weren't playing their best guys out there at the end. But you feel a lot better about yourself when you win than when you lose. |
We realized they weren't playing their best guys. |
We still have the same problems we had last spring: one-on-one defense; pick-and-roll defense; (we're a) high-turnover team; when it turned into a street fight, they fought harder than we did; and can we finish? Right now, we're not a finishing team. That's on me, that nothing's improved. |
We were caving in and I thought they found a spirit and resolve in the last six minutes. |
We were caving in and then I thought they found a spirit and a resolve in the last six minutes defensively. I liked our fight in the last six minutes. |
We were down 16 and I don't believe in saving guys. So we got it to eight and they called (his sixth) foul. We played a very soft, non-contact game. |
We would like to get some more dribble penetration from people other than Tracy McGrady. It would be nice to get McGrady a spot-up shot that wasn't under duress, where he didn't have to create a shot for himself but where a shot was created for him. Particularly when McGrady is out, we'll try to do more pick-and-roll stuff for Rafer. |
We'll know more after he sees the doctor. He's had it for a long time. It has to do with his toenail and having his toenail removed. |
We're a little small right now and may not have as much firepower as some teams, but for the most part we come ready to play. We've had a tough schedule and I am happy with how the team has gone about business. |
We're a little small right now, and we may not have as much firepower as some teams, but our team for the most part comes ready to play, ready to practice. You get their best. |
We're a team that does ... just enough to put yourself in a position and not enough good to win. That was poor defense, poor, poor defense. They scored 49 points in a half with very marginal offensive players. When they missed, they crushed us on the boards. |
We're at a quickness disadvantage, so it makes it look like an effort thing when it truly is a quickness thing. On defense, we do maybe one thing, 1 1/2 things, but we can't help and recover and then guard the ball. They went by us the whole night. |
