He's a very good player, it's good to see he could make a full recovery and have as good a year as he's had. With him and Mo Williams on the floor together, when you put two point guards on the floor at the same time, it's very difficult. |
He's already told me some things. I would just say this: When we meet, frank discussion between owner and coach is always valuable. I welcome anything he has to say and I will reciprocate with anything I think is necessary going forward to make us who we want to be. |
He's as diligent about doing his job as anyone we have. |
He's as valuable to his team as any player in the league. |
He's going through that natural period where people want to nitpick the very few negatives he may have instead of extolling all his positives, ... And in a little over 31 minutes a game he averages 18 and 8. He comes to work every day. He's totally selfless. Yet some want to badger the guy about whatever perceived shortcomings he has. I find that unfortunate because if they spent half the time looking at all his positives it would be a much better story. |

He's got a level of dedication to his profession that very few have. |
He's had many good stretches, it's just that sometimes we get caught up in the numbers. I look at the whole thing, his pick-and-roll coverage, his transition defense. I think he's gotten better from his first game in the NBA through now. |
He's very comfortable in his own skin, ... That's his personality. When you're true to self like that, it comes across well. |
His turnovers have skyrocketed, as have his foul problems. For him to be what we need and have to have, he needs to improve on that. |
How little we put in the game, from the start of the day to the end of the game, was totally uninspiring. We went through the motions, but didn't even fake it very well. |
I can't explain it. He just doesn't make at home like he makes on the road — free throws or field goals. |
I care very deeply about Eddie. I like him. We would like to count on him. |
I didn't think Yao was particularly as good tonight as he has been. There's obviously a huge burden on his shoulders right now, but we're capable of making (shots) and we didn't tonight. |
I don't care how hard you play, if you don't shoot the ball competently, you're going to have a hard time. We do just enough good to lose close. That's what we've been all season. It's mind-boggling. I know some of our guys killed themselves out there tonight and while that should certainly be complimented, this is about winning. |
