Competitively, I feel like I've done it in skiing,

With football, it's the unknown right now. It's like there's that last missing block. Kind of like, 'What if? Make it? Not make it?' I need to answer that question.

The NCAA can't continue to turn a cold shoulder on these athletes because it's not fair,

There aren't a lot of egos on this team.

It's nice to check that box.

It's great to have that right now — something that's such a big challenge right ahead of me.

It really isn't about winning the medal for me.

This is it. That was my last race for sure. I'm really looking forward to what's next.

I'll have a week to put the cleats on and get ready. Is a week enough? I don't see why not. I've been catching footballs two days a week. It feels like I'm able to get into it quickly.

I've had more success in this sport than I ever dreamed possible. It's just been an amazing ride and I don't think a medal here would have affected that at all.

I'm humbled to be here, and I'm very excited. The sport of football has been a huge passion of mine ever since I can remember walking. Unfortunately, it was taken from me by the NCAA. But they're not in the building today, and I'm ready to get started.

Overall, it was a huge success for me. It was a huge honor for me to be a two-time Olympian and have the accomplishments that I've been able to have in skiing. But certainly there was an element of disappointment. ... I expect perfection out of myself, and I didn't ski a perfect run. I was disappointed in that, but I did ski well, and I had a great time.

Well, this is America, so obviously football is the Big Daddy in this country. It gets the most attention and has the most pressure, and that's what I've been really missing. A lot of people love to ski in this country, but it's primarily a recreational sport and that's the way people view it. Competitive skiing is not really on the radar here.

I think there are elements I'll be lacking here. My route running, I'll have to work on. … Catching the football, I can catch the football. And my speed, I'll have to work on that, too.
