Right now there is no soil moisture to speak of anyway, and as we began getting toward late winter into early spring and we begin warming up, that would mean if we didn't get any rain that the soil moisture conditions would just worsen and we would have very, very difficult agriculture situation. |
The culprit is the position of the jet stream and the inability of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, therefore, to get over the central interior. And if there's no moisture, there's no rain. |
