Just the sheer size of it and complexity of it, it is beyond what anybody has seen -- not just in Louisiana but anywhere. |

The city needs to make sure that when people go back, they're not exposing themselves to something. |
The pumps are strategically placed to move the water back into canals, but when Ponchartrain gets so high, there's no where to put the water. |
The question over the next months will be: How did our efforts to mitigate this measure up? ... It's quite a test, and building bigger seawalls may not be the only answer. |
