Just the sheer size of it and complexity of it, it is beyond what anybody has seen -- not just in Louisiana but anywhere.
Most grabbed some stuff thinking we would be back in three days. They never expected this.

The atmosphere here is very, very different than it was in the days following Katrina.
The city needs to make sure that when people go back, they're not exposing themselves to something.
The pumps are strategically placed to move the water back into canals, but when Ponchartrain gets so high, there's no where to put the water.
The question over the next months will be: How did our efforts to mitigate this measure up? ... It's quite a test, and building bigger seawalls may not be the only answer.
