Getting to all of Jerome's games throughout the years has been hectic and real expensive, but well worth it. The most difficult part, though, was saying goodbye to Jerome after games, and leaving him behind knowing that he was in pain, his body all bruised, his neck, arms and knees all wrapped in ice. |
Jerome has asthma. So we always went to all of his games with his breathing inhaler, and if anything had gone wrong, I was ready to jump over fences and sprint onto the field to give my son that inhaler. |
We've had seats close enough to holler at Jerome, and seats so high in the sky that we needed a television set to see him carry the ball. But one thing's for sure: We always had seats. |
