I think parents need to make that phone call and find out if your kid is really where they say they are and if a parent is home. We do have parents who say 'what I do is not your business,' but my reaction to that always is, but if my kid is at your house, it is my business. |
No, there is no guarantee, but there is somewhere between that and just throwing up your hands and there is nothing I can do. Rather than pointing fingers, we need to change the culture of the town. |
The only way that we can combat this [problem] is to stick together and be a community of parents paying attention. |
We don't know if it's because more people and parents are aware and less are in denial or if things have gotten worse. We're hoping that's not the case. |
