 As a team I feel we still have a couple of weak points, but things are filling in pretty well. I feel we're doing well in general. My personal goals are to place in the state tournament. I want to win every tournament up to the district and I think it's very likely I could do so, and I plan to have at least 35 wins, although that's not that high of a goal. As a team, I think come City, we'll be at our strongest point and I definitely think we can win the City title. As a team we want to finish in the top 10 in the district. |
| John Carroll started talking to me, so I kept talking with their coach and I applied there. The coach said, 'I want you over here next year.' It's a smaller program with high academics and a good wrestling program. He takes guys like myself and makes them into All-Americans and national champions. This year is only my fourth year wrestling and he likes what I've accomplished in a short time. |
| The last two years I've gone to (West's) summer open mats and coach Nicola has helped me out a lot. I knew I'd have some good workout partners at West and it's actually a lot better fit for me here academically. The past two years I've cut more weight than I should have. I'm more tall and lean but I'm mostly muscle and I have more energy not cutting so much. |
