I have been batting well on the last two days of the tour. Getting out just 13 short of a ton is disappointing but it was need of the hour as the team needed quick runs to declare and put pressure on India.

The pitch was typical first day wicket, but little two-paced on one end and skidding on at the other end. I would have preferred a nice unbeaten 60 at the end of the day.

We set our target to score about 400 in the first innings. We're about 240 short after the first day.
