(Providence) played with a great sense of urgency from the start, and we were kind of dipping our toes in the water to see what the temperature was. But we woke up at that point and played really, really well from the time they scored to the end of the game.

A good team like Maine doesn't get down. They chipped away one at a time.

Again tonight things just didn't go our way. We had some unfortunate calls that didn't go our way and put ourselves in a hole.

Cory Schneider is a very good goaltender and we seemed to have some kind of bad puck luck. It seemed to bounce against us. He was very, very good, particularly in the 5-on-3 and some other opportunities we had (in the third).

Everything we did well last week, we didn't do well tonight.

Fortunately, we got some big goals at the right time. We got the bounces tonight a little bit. Obviously, we made a big mistake late but the guys responded. It's big for us right now. We needed to grab that win in overtime and get some confidence back.

He now plays in all situations for us: special teams, matched up against the top lines, late game situations. His strength and conditioning has come a long way, and I think with another important summer, he can become one of the top defensemen in Hockey East.

He's been in our top four rotation for quite some time now, so he knows the coaching staff has a lot of confidence in him. Mark has lived up to, and exceeded our expectations.

I actually feel bad for our guys in some ways. We talked about it between the second and third periods. We're just pressing so hard trying to score. It's a tough feeling as a coach; you want to try and help them through it but there's not a lot you can do. That's something as a team you've got to sort out.

I knew from the first phone call with Jaime that he was going to be the person I could put a lot of faith into, and responsibility.

I know he's somewhat humbled and embarrassed by the recognition he's received for the Humanitarian Award. He's not in it for the accolades but because he cares.

I still love this team and feel we have all the makings to be a top team by the end and a dangerous one in the playoffs.

I think he'd also be the first one to say we played really solid team defense for 120 minutes this weekend.

I think their defense gets overlooked. They have so many dynamic forwards, some of the best in the country from an offensive standpoint, but Jerry York does such a great job coaching the team defense. They're tough to score goals on and it's equally tough to keep that high-octane offense down.

I want to see us go in with a fearless attitude and play our style. If we do that, we give ourselves a great opportunity to knock them off.
