We would probably have to get out of the way. We wouldn't have nearly enough troops to quell the violence at that point. At a minimum, we'd have to pull back to certain military bases and try to keep working the politics.

The fundamental problem is this is not a consensus constitution, and one part of the country has massively rejected it. This was not a joyful vote. It was a pragmatic vote to continue the process.

Can the Whole World Become Democratic?

I think it's very fragile. I'm very worried.
