Ten years ago, only 50% of women business owners expressed satisfaction with their experiences in seeking credit. According to this new study, that number has grown to over 70%. Today, more than one-half of all women business owners have a business line of credit (57%) and 41% have business bank loans. |
The majority of both women and men (85%) believe that price is the most important factor when selling their businesses. However, women business owners also take into account a broad range of issues focused on the match between the buyer and the company. Women are more concerned than men owners about the future of their businesses and the well-being of employees. |
This may be due to a lack of knowledge about how to use these products or how to obtain them, as well as a preference for avoiding debt. If we are to ensure that women-owned enterprises achieve their full economic potential, we must expand the financial coaching and training for all women business owners. |
