| We talked about a lot of different choices. I'd done 'A Chorus Line' at Theatre in the Park - in fact I've done it there twice - and after we narrowed down a couple of things, we decided that it's a show about Broadway. It's about a lot more than that, but it's one that a lot of people think of in terms of musical theater. We heard it was coming back to Broadway next October, so we thought we'd get a little extra push from that. |
| We were fortunate that we had 140 (singers and dancers) audition. We called back 60 and we wound up with 35. That's a lot of people, and a lot of dancers. |
| When they first decided that they were going to do this, they called me into the meeting and they asked me a lot of questions about what we needed. My background is in theater, so I came to it from that direction. We've got a great sound system. We've got 24 wireless body mikes and it's the neatest acoustical theater that I've been in for a long time. |
