Since there is no electricity, there won't be any air conditioning or relief from the humidity and heat. I can't be exposed to extreme heat and humidity with my condition. If that wasn't the case, I would've been out of here days ago. |

We don't duplicate any services that FEMA or individual insurance companies do. We make sure the people who need help receive the help they need to get back on their feet. |
We really need more volunteers. We had a bunch of people sign up right after 9-11. Since then, the numbers have leveled off and people are hard to find. The biggest problem we have is when we get people trained to have them willing to help when called upon. |
You work seven straight days once you get there. You get one day off each week for the rest of the time. That day is usually spent doing laundry. |
