I had an MRI in Paris yesterday (Tuesday) and it revealed that I have a problem with my right quad, similar to the problem I had during the summer but in a different spot, |
I had hard time adjusting to this surface. I was not confident enough at the beginning of the match but after I got up 4-1 [in the second set], I felt more comfortable... I tried to make her run a lot to make her tired and that tactic seemed to work. |
I had some problems at first but I felt better in the second set. |
I have a lot of great memories playing in Moscow, |
I have a lot of great memories playing in Moscow. I won here in both singles and doubles on my debut seven years ago, |
I have no excuse but it's not over yet. There's one match left today and there's tomorrow (Sunday). |
I haven't accomplished everything that I want to yet in my career, that's why I'm still playing. I just know that I still have something left inside of me to accomplish, and I don't know exactly what that is. Hopefully, I'll know one day soon. |
I just did everything in my power the best that I could today, and it wasn't meant to be, ... She was very motivated out there today. I could see it. She wanted it. She definitely played better today than a couple days ago when I beat her. |
I just played unbelievably well at the beginning, even my shanks were going in, |
I just started all over again all areas and just rebuilt myself and changed a lot, |
I knew I needed a hold to win that match, |
I knew in the very first game it was going to be tough. |
I know it will be very hard but I don't want to think about the final yet, |
I learned a lot when they booed me. At one point, I thought I would base myself in Paris because I loved and the people so much. But then, I found out what when I won, I was France's Mary Pierce; when I lost, I was the American French Mary Pierce. |
I love this court, ... I have so many happy memories: my victory, my two finals, the support from the fans. |
