All I wanted to do was get out of this meet and get downstate. |
Certain days, I'd stay for both. High school practice was usually 3 to 5, then club practice was later. We'd have break days where there wouldn't be quite as much. I've just always liked to do both. |
I don't know what happened. In the end, we just got flustered. |
I felt really strong. This is the first time I wasn't in any pain. Every other day, I've been sore. For the rest of the years, (beam and bars) have been the hardest, but I've been doing them so much now, it's the other two. I got those out of the way first and I knew I was good to go. |
I knew I was going to compete. You could've cut my leg off and I was still going to compete. You just have to keep going, keep pushing through. |
If we moved forward in state, it would definitely help. |
It kind of (stinks) for me, because I'm playing hard and I want to play at a Division I school. It's hard to do that when you're not being noticed. |
It was so exciting just to be competing again. It felt great getting in all my routines. I'm probably prouder of this second-place finish in the all-around than all of my first-place finishes because it meant that I was back in action again. |
It's going to be a nagging thing. I'll treat it and see how it goes. I have to try to push through it. |
It's something I've never really thought about before. I just took it all in today. It was so emotional. After everything that's happened, I was just coming in hoping to place in the top six and advance. It was so exciting. |
They make this game so fun and it was awesome, but it still (stinks) to lose. It's nothing like losing at state though. |
We're good at stepping up, as seniors, in those situations. |
