Anytime you've got a young man who's been in program for a while and he has an opportunity to go live his dream, you're happy for the kid. He's lucky enough that he's a great athlete and he's worked hard and is a good student and everything has fallen to place. We're excited for him. |
He was our leading receiver last year. I think he's going to be a great, great college receiver. He's still a work in progress and we're still working on some things. He's getting better at some things. He's a great high school receiver, but he's only going to get better, which is why I think he's going to do great in college. |
Oh sure, speed wins. If you can run fast, then you can do things that you can't do if you're slow. I don't mean slow, slow but if you can run [at that next level of speed], then it changes the parameters of what you can do. |
That's why he's going to Oklahoma. He can go and get it. It's great to have a guy that where all you need to do is get it close. |
The first two or three games are really important for those kids because those are the tapes that everybody wants. Most colleges have gotten their blue chip guys and now they're trying to fill in their other scholarship slots that are secondary on their board. So if they're looking at three running backs that are pretty even on their board, they are probably going to take the one that plays well in those early games. So those games are really important for those guys. |
