As a coach, you have an idea of how you want your team to play. I think we've finally gotten to that point. It was a matter of getting to know each other, finding a whole new chemistry and mending some things. |
Even though we did not win the game, we played very well in the second half. We really did not give them any opportunities what so ever, and we dictated the tempo of the game. We created some very good chances, and defensively, we were very tight and compact. If we play like we did in the second half, we will win games. |
I did not feel like we came out and played with the necessary intensity in the first half. The Kings scored on a pair of excellent plays. One guy scored from 40 yards out and another on a bicycle kick. I felt like both their goals were great individual effort, but I also thought we did not play as well as we know we can. |
I thought Brad Ring was outstanding on the day. He showed why he is so highly regarded. At the end of the day, he always makes a lot of good things happen for his team. |
I've been very pleased the last five or six games with how we've played. We've got something big to shoot for. |
It's a great game for us, it's an extra game we get. You look at the crowd at close to 6,000 -- it's an atmosphere you don't see at your everyday soccer game. I love it. |
Our guys got tired as the game went on. That's a scheduling problem when you have to play two Big Ten opponents in one weekend. The guys handled it well. |
This is why guys come to Indiana, to play these types of games. This is what you have those dreams about, playing good, hard, tough game against a good crowd and that's what you get at Indiana. |
This team from Cincinnati will be an older, more physical team. The spring is a time to try different things and experiment by giving different guys an opportunity to play and show what they can do. |
We are happy for both Lee and Jordan that they have the opportunity to play professionally. It is exciting to see that six players from our team this past season will be playing professionally. I feel as though it speaks volumes toward not only our program, but to the character and work ethic of these players. |
We've had a good number over the years (from the state of Indiana) that have contributed. Those three gentlemen from North Central were part of a special class in high school, and they were well coached by Jerry Little up there and we knew they were of the stock we wanted. Once they got here, they kept getting better and better. |
