I cooked out on the grill last night. We'll be watching the ballgames tonight outside in the garage with the doors open. |
I'm disappointed that this event is canceled. It has attracted various visitors over the years. It's always been (a) great event. |
It hasn't been a great year but we're happy to see our visitors returning. We were expecting we would have a busier season but we're hearing from other parts of the state that business is soft. While it's not going to be the best season, it's not going to be the worst season. |
Over the last five years we haven't had enough customer base. They gave us an opportunity to get out of the lease without any penalties, so we went ahead and took it. |
Some of those states, we get a lot of people from. |
The city is not in a position to generate additional financial risk, we don't have dollars on the table. We do have the common goal to keep the franchise here. We know it's a community asset that we care about and if there's a way to make that work and not increase the city's financial risk, we're certainly welcoming those kind of conversations. |
The Northeast and the Midwest are our two biggest domestic markets. |
They started putting those piles of dirt back there, and we don't know what for. What we don't understand is why would they put all those mounds? They blow into our yards. It's unsightly. |
Wherever you go, there can be certain dangers; you just have to take precautions. We hope this does not bring a negative reaction, but it could. We'll certainly monitor it. |
