`Do you feel like you are in just as good as shape as you were before?' He says, `I feel OK.' I say, `Do you get tired quicker?' [And he says,] `Not really.' |
(Ronnie) wants to do well and he is working hard to do well and you can't always evaluate every situation based on results, in terms of how many yards he is getting a carry and things like that. Some of it is his responsibility, but I think it is a team thing that we all need to improve on, so everybody has a chance to be more successful, including Ronnie Brown. |
(That) can only be brought about by a lot of conversation and getting to know someone. I don't know this particular player well enough to make that determination right now, but it's something we might be interested in in the future. |
[But like everything else down here, it's an ongoing project.] Are we where we need to be? We are making progress, ... Will there be ups and downs? Probably, yes. Will we get frustrated some with it? We probably all will. Will we overcome adversity at some point? I am sure that we will, but all of these things are a test. |
[Capers] brings a wealth of knowledge and will be a valuable addition to our staff. I'm sure his contributions will help us continue to improve as a team. |
[Pollack] is a real playmaker, and he always seems to come up with a big play at the right time for them, |

[The Dolphins were uninspired. The thought of possibly being blown away in the next day or two does not encourage intensity on a football field.] I'm not blaming anybody, because that's not my nature, but we certainly didn't have the energy and enthusiasm we've had up to this point, ... We just didn't look like the same team out there, and I can't give you any reason exactly why. |
A good defense starts with defending the middle of the field, and that starts with being able to stop the run. |
A lot of people want to know why I want to come back to college football. |
A lot of people wearing Saints shirts were very nice to me. |
A.J. did a pretty good job when he was in there, ... I want to build on the identity, the attitude. We want our players to overcome adversity in the game. |
Absolutely. He's done an outstanding job in practice and he finishes every play. He has done everything that anybody could ask of a player. If you asked me, give me the top five guys that are the best practice players, he would be one of them. If Jason Taylor had played in a 3-4 system somewhere, he would have been a Hall of Fame outside linebacker. He's smart and he's got great instincts to learn things, better than I ever hoped for. |
against things we haven't seen and that we will see in the near future. |
All great things are accomplished in adverse circumstances, ... Franklin Roosevelt is one of the best presidents. Why? Because of the way he managed World War II and the way he managed the country out of depression. |
