It's not a decision to double up, it's more a decision to use the 10k as preparation for the marathon, ... The marathon is still the main focus but I just felt I was in good 10k shape and wanted to build on that. I felt it could fit in without harming the marathon.
It's totally different from last year because I came in with good shape with no health worries so it was about going out there and running well and enjoying it.
It's very special. It's right up there with running the world record. It's important as world record holder I also show that I can win major titles as well.
Last year happened - I'm never going to be happy with it but I have moved on.
My training's been pretty good and I am happy with everything.
Nothing will make up for what happened last year,
Sunday was like a run-out, doubling as a training session, I was not messing about but I knew I was not on for a world record time.
T his is totally different from Athens because I was on the start line with no injury worries and I felt 100% healthy. I knew I was in good shape and I just wanted to prove it.
The idea was just to go out at a pace that was comfortable and decent,
The problem last year was that I knew things were falling apart in the last two weeks before the marathon,
This was for me. It was important for me to win this title because I knew I was capable of doing it and my team knew that too. I knew I was in good shape.
