It is great when the coaching staff and the organization has the faith in you that you can get the job done. What I'm doing right now is working hard, and playing good hockey.

I'm very happy right now for myself right now. I have a chance to play as much as I'm going to deserve and show my ability to win hockey games.

I think it's an opportunity. Nothing's changed for me as far as my preparation for the game. Every time I get a chance to play it's going to be the same mindset, to help give my team a chance to win a hockey game.

I tried to poke it and the guy was too close to me. I got a little piece of it with the inside of my pad.

But when you score five goals on the road, you should win. I felt good. I was well-rested. I'm not happy with my performance.

The first goal, I definitely should have had. That goal put us a little bit on our heels. That's not supposed to happen. I should be there for the guys.

I told myself before the game, Patrick Roy always came back superb after a shaky game. It always feels great when you can respond like that.

It's frustrating, but . . . we are tied for first place with Calgary, which is pretty good. Every game from now on is going to be like a playoff game, so we have to step up and win more hockey games.

Starting with me and everybody else, I don't think we put out the effort that was good enough for a win.

I don't know why (the referee) gave him a penalty shot. It says in the rule book that if he gets a shot off, even if he's hooked or whatever, it should be just 2 minutes.

It's always nice to get the shutout, but even better to get those two points against them. I've tried to always prepare the best I can. Today I played very good. When you play in the lead its always better.

It was the first away game for me, and I'm very happy that I could help my team to win. Obviously, I want to stay here. It would be a big opportunity for me. I'm very happy and thankful to God that I can be here and do something that I love.

We weren't ready for the first 20 minutes, and when that happens in this league you're going to get beat. It's a tough break, but it's a lesson for us.

I have to take the positives out of this game.

I haven't been doing anything different. I'm doing the same things, and still working hard in practices, and whenever I get a chance to play, I want to deserve my chance. So I play well, and hopefully Coach will trust me.
