It's just a well-written play. There's not a lot we can do other than to just do it. It's a piece of music. |
Thank goodness for Ron. He's taught the play, he's familiar with the play and he has some of the same qualities (as Whiteside). The character is a Little Lord Fauntleroy type, but he also has a heart of gold. |
There is a grain of truth to every character, but it's overboard, which I really love. |
When 'The Man Who Came To Dinner' opened on Broadway, everyone knew Alexander Woollcott. Today, no one knows him. And I'm not sure who is like that today. He was one of a kind, and it's such a different world. |
