 I take that as a compliment, ... I've just done lots of different kinds of things.

 I think Tessa feels maternal to all the people of Africa. She feels they are all her family,

 I think you can tell there's a lot of passion in that movie.

 I thought it was fantastic, very dramatic, very sexy.

 I'd love to work with him a third, fourth or fifth time. He's the most tremendous acting partner.

 I'm a storyteller. My responsibility is trying to get into the skin of someone who has that drive. I have a drive, but my drive is as a storyteller. I'm not saving lives.

I really tried to get into their skin. I met people in Africa out in the field who possess that kind of dedication. I tried to absorb who they were in order to understand them and hopefully portray that kind of passion and commitment in my performance.

 It did feel different -- definitely just freer than I've ever felt before. [That's] the way in which Fernando works: low-tech, low-bureaucracy, no technical constraints.

 It was a life-changing experience for every one of us who went, ... I had to make myself at home there, because Tessa felt most at home there. We shot in places like London, as well, which were closer to my experience. But the film benefits most from the fact that Fernando, because of his previous work, was plainly more at home in the slums than those alien houses of government, the fancy sets. That shows up on the screen, and it makes the film work.

 It's really about some really important topics that are being debated hotly right now in the media about Africa.

 It's so special to be honored by fellow actors, so thanks very much to the tribe.
