 He got my vote. You can say Nevada was expected to win the league, but sometimes it's harder to stay on top.

 He has to be up there. No other player has been able to do all the different things he does.

 He missed a couple shots he doesn't normally miss so maybe that part of the strategy worked.

 He's a warrior, there's no doubt about that. I didn't see the Southern Illinois game, but I wonder how they held him to six rebounds. Must have been the 13-hour bus ride to get there.

 He's an offensive player in the sense he sets other people up in the offense. He's not a scoring offensive player with high numbers. ... If you move without the ball, he'll find you.

 He's been an All-WAC player, no question about it because of the way he's played for us down the stretch.

 He's got game. He's quick as hell and can take you off the dribble.

 He's matured as a player. He has worked hard with (associate coach) Bob (Nash) with a lot of extra stuff to try to improve his scoring output. He's called on to defend a smaller, quicker guy most of the time, too. Some nights he got hurt with it, but most of the time he's been good.

 He's their go-to guy and the rest of the guys get around him and work. He comes up with a big basket or a big rebound and that gives the whole team energy. That's why they don't have the big lulls in there like we have.

 He's worked as hard on his game as anybody. And you have to say he's an All-WAC player now.

 I can see him right now walking in with his fishing vest, (cup of ) coffee in his hand and a smile. It won't be the same without him.
