 I'm really happy for him,

 I'm very, very happy to be back in the NFL. I've really missed it so much, even though I've truly loved my experience coaching in high school. Really, every coach should experience that.

 I've been lucky to have raw talent and when you've got that, it's just a matter of learning as much from them as they learn from you, ... Being a good observer, watching exactly how they're reacting to the different challenges that come from each new day.

 Mike's the boss, and he's going to be great one. I think it'll be great to work with Mike and Tom.

 Nobody knows for sure how a player is going to make the transition.

 One thing about him is he has always stayed in shape so he can do these kinds of things. Not many players could be away from the game and play as fast as he has. He kind of pisses me off with his flat little tummy. He's always made me mad because he was one of those guys that had the good build and took care of himself.

 Promotion has become, in many ways, as important as the game itself. As a result, you promote your big-name players, your quarterback, and the fans want to see them play.

 Rust is an issue, but it's not a red flag. Every team would hope for better, but factor that [year of development] into the equation.

 The better word is I am really proud of him because it is difficult as a first-year starter.

 The most important thing when you are going through that kind of period is the guy standing in front of the team needs to remain a pillar. He can't be blowing in the wind, and he didn't. He kept our eye on the ball. He was like a veteran coach.

 The one thing about being sick and being ill with a disease that could take your life is that you really learn not to be looking backwards. Just look forward,
