She hung in there and she was playing some great tennis. |
She is a great player, but everyone is beatable, |

She's one of the best players who has ever played. I felt like I was always trying to catch up and wasn't able to get out in front, but I stayed with her point for point for much of the match. She's a counter-puncher and I knew I could never win a battle at the baseline with her so I had to try something different. |
that you can do it, too, like a lot of people out there who are coming out of the odds. |
That's how I play. I'm going to have maybe 50 unforced errors one day, but I'm going to also have 50 winners that day. People just have to accept me the way I play. Maybe I can add variation to my game, but I'm going to win matches only when I hit those winners. |
That's not what I think every time I step on court -- that an Indian never did this, an Indian never did that. I'm just there because I just want to be there. |

There were a lot of games that I could have taken but I had fun out there. In my first U.S. Open I couldn't have asked for any more. |

We have good chance of winning this tie. I don't think of my rankings all I want to do is to perform well. |
When you come out from a country like India or one of those countries, it's obviously much tougher for you, |
You really have to keep moving, ... because you have no idea till the last second where the ball is going to go. Toss is all over the place on the serve. I'm just happy I came through because I guess it's just giving me more and more practice for the bigger matches I'm hopefully going to play. |
