I feel very honored to be selected for this position. I believe this is a new Rams era. We want to be one of those feared teams. We will be progressive day in and day out.

Sometimes you get that little brother syndrome. A lot of that is bringing them into the fold. You've got to have the same goals in reverse order.

I don't think anybody can tell you or prepare you for all the things I need to be told and prepared to be a head coach who's ready to go out there today. You really don't know what path it's going to take you, but you're always preparing yourself for this day.

I had a wonderful meeting with Georgia. It's just been a great experience. I feel very honored to be selected.

It feels kind of like kickoff. I can tell you, I am pretty excited about this opportunity.

It's like giving up a dog or something. I can't give that away.

It sounds kind of simple, but it is. We'll establish the running game, but sometimes you set up a great running game with a great passing game. I think it is similar to a lot of the things you've seen here before. You'll see different wrinkles.

We want to be aggressive, we want to be dominant, we want to be relentless and we to play 60 minutes as a team, not just as an offense.

They were anxious (days). But it's been great. I can't say enough about John (Shaw) and Jay (Zygmunt). They've gone about this very professionally. I've had a very good attitude about it and felt I was in a win-win situation, but knowing all along that it would be a dream come true to have the opportunity to do this. I'm really pleased to have this chance, and I can't wait to get started.

Now that they picked up (Tice's) option, I'd do anything to stay here.

I have always admired what the Rams have done offensively. Coach Martz is obviously the guy that's been doing that on the offensive side. We studied and emulated a lot of things offensively that were done here, just like everybody else in the league, and everybody knows it.

To me, this is the most important hire. You can say anything you want about who's hired to be the head coach at this point. But I think, to me, the biggest priority for this franchise right now is to get a defensive coordinator who's going to come in here and really impact this franchise. We're working tirelessly to get that done.

I was lucky to be able to get these guys. They're exactly what I was looking for.

He gets another head coaching job, that's a good thing. That means we've done well. My job is to hire a good staff under Jim so that we can promote from within.

He's a football coach and wants to go to the best place available. He's a great fit.
