We had five kids in the finals and three won titles. Washington also had five kids in the finals and had three champions. The difference was our overall depth.

I've been looking at how the three of us have fared against common opponents, and it's too close to call. It could be a dead heat.

I think it's going to come down to a three-way heat between Keystone Oaks, Washington and Bethel Park. And I don't see any of the three having an advantage over the other two. The key will, once again, be team depth.

We don't have a weak spot in our lineup. All but one starter has a winning record, and eight have hit double digits in victories.

We set a school record with 21 dual-meet victories last season. We are hoping to break that record again this season.

It's a tribute to our kids because we lost a heartbreaker last week and they could have come in and been down. But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.
