This club has a real special knack for coming out every day and looking the same. Here it is the end of a two-week road trip, and we look just like we did the first game. These guys get themselves ready to play as good as anybody you want to see.

He is playing so good in every facet of the game. He's hitting fourth, and that's because nothing bothers him. He just plays. He's been as important as anybody we have; he's had an outstanding year.

This is how he pitched earlier in the year. He just got into a funk. It happens to pitchers, it happens to hitters, it happens to defenders. And in the middle of that funk, he had a couple of games like this. Against Washington and today, this was the way he was earlier in the year. This is just his second year in the rotation; he's still learning.

That's how he pitched early in the year. He just got in a funk. In the middle of that funk, he had a couple of games like this and we couldn't score for him. ... This is what he's capable of doing.

Guys like Derrek Lee and Albert Pujols and other guys at the top, Miguel Cabrera , nobody throws the ball down the middle to them. So they have to work hard to get everything, and they deserve all the credit.

It's his first time, and he's been so critical for us. That was a really memorable moment there. That's a keeper. It's an extra special day.

For a guy who is supposed to be very tough, he's got a lot of cupcake in him. I saw him in an afternoon game in Cincinnati and he had his full beard on, but his wife didn't like it so he shaved it. He's macho with an asterisk.

He's improving, more and more, but there's no definite date yet.

Hopefully this homestand, ... but we're going to wait and see on that, too.

Barry just came in and said he's not feeling well.

He's really got a short fuse and he got in trouble. He's upset with himself. He got a ground ball and it hopped over the guy's head.

He'll be very good for the Atlanta Braves. He didn't quite jell in that Boston situation, but he can play anywhere. So many people have exaggerated that year.

He took it like a pro. He's a teammate isn't he? It's not the same, but he went out and competed the same.

He's anxious to get out there, but I think if he gets out there he could go backward. We'll just keep moving forward until he gets the green light. If he's cleared to play, he'll play.
